Jatinder Handoo

Jatinder Handoo is an emerging markets professional and currently working as Social Performance Analyst at the Microfinance Information Exchange Inc (MIX) - A Washington DC based premier microfinance data and analysis organisation. Based out of the Asia office at Hyderabad, Jatinder handles the Asia & ECA portfolio of MFIs at MIX. Jatinder has been a social banker and was part of agribusiness finance teams in State Bank of India and HDFC Bank ltd in the past.

As a business strategist Jatinder was associated with the world's largest banking agent manager - a branchless banking technology leader FINO in India. Jatinder's research affiliations have been associated with India's premier policy think tanks and organizations like Centre for Policy Research, Centre of Civil Society, CRISP, APMAS, and Oiko Credit India etc. He has presented a number of research papers on topics like microfinance, policy and banking technology at various Industry and academic conferences. His areas of expertise regard rural banking, financial inclusion technology, financial literacy, microfinance, mobile banking consulting and public policy research.

He has earned Master degree in Public Policy from the School of Public Policy at Hyderabad Campus of the ICFAI University and a Bachelor of Agriculture from Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth Maharashtra.
