Biography
Femke van der Lee
RIU Institutional histories

Femke has an MSc in International Development Studies from Wageningen University. Her specialization is rural development sociology.

During her study she specialised in participatory approaches in agricultural research and development. She has been on an internship in Cuba and has worked and travelled during her study in Ecuador and Kenya. For ETC Foundation in Leusden she has worked on her thesis assignment on participatory innovation development for which she has done research in South Africa.

In August 2010, Femke joined KIT as a junior advisor on sustainable economic development. She currently works on issues related to agricultural services and rural innovation dynamics. In the light of this expertise, she has done case studies in Ghana and Zambia and for RIU has facilitated writeshops in Kenya and Nigeria.
