Remco Mur

Remco Mur (MSc) is a specialist in rural innovation processes and agricultural service delivery with a strong focus on organisational capacity building and learning. He has considerable experience of the design and implementation of participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation systems. He has 15 years of professional experience, and has worked for a wide variety of international organisations, both government and non-government, in various countries. He has skills in facilitation of multi-stakeholder processes, participatory approaches, action research, process design, and training. In Kenya and Mali, Remco has worked as an independent rural development consultant with assignments in the field of the management of agricultural research programmes and food security. Mr Mur worked for the DFID/GoI Decentralization of Livestock Services in Eastern Indonesia programme (DELIVERI).
Remco holds a degree in Tropical Agriculture and has an MSc in Management of Agro-ecological Knowledge and Social change (MAKS), from Wageningen University. Currently He is a senior advisor on Sustainable Economic Development at KIT Development Policy and Practice in Amsterdam. He works on issues related to agricultural innovation, service delivery, producer organizations and local development, mainly in Sub-Sahara Africa.
