Before joining RIU, Grace was a lecturer and researcher in Animal Science at ABU, Zaria, serving there for 19 years, becoming a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department of Animal Science. She is an Executive Committee member of the Nigerian Institute of Animal Science where she heads the Livestock Products and Processing Technology discipline. She first encountered the RIU-Nigeria programme through involvement in crop-livestock integration activities under the RIU-assisted Cowpea-Soybean Value Chain Innovation Platform during which she represented one of the national research institutes.
