Armyworm forecasting and control
Impact on women

Before the start of community-base armyworm forecasting activities, meetings were held at the villages.

The communities democratically elect the prospective community forecasters. The election arrangements require one man and one woman forecaster be elected in each village. As a consequence 50% of the forecasters are women.
