Armyworm forecasting and control

This video reports on the progress that the RIU funding is having the fight against armyworm in Tanzania, where community-based forecasters are accurately predicting outbreaks. Community forecasters and farmers Lucy and Elibaki Mbasha explain how the forecasting works. There is film of the training in action. Mohamed Moya - Permanent Secretary Agriculture, Tanzania backs the approach. Finally, Wilfred Muchobozi of Eco Agri Consultancy talks about producing the bio-pesticide to tackle armyworm, and Gaspar Mallya - national armyworm coordinator - talks about the role of the private sector.
