RIU - Research Into Use

DFID tells RIUtv what success looks like
15 July 2010

RIUtv will be profiling some of the key people who are involved in the RIU programme. Our first film (right) is a question and answer session with Professor Tim Wheeler of DFID, Deputy Director of Research and Evidence Division. We quizzed him about some of our early findings, especially the role of brokers and networking, and DFIDs vision for the private section - especially where the markets are 'bottom billion' consumers. Further films will appear in the Impact section.

Duncan Sones of RIUtv who interviewed Tim Wheeler said:
"DFID has given us a clear steer in this interview about the value of the evidence we are creating and the need to validate our claims about impact at scale. RIUtv is making sure we have a record of what key stakeholders think about our work. In this interview Tim Wheeler flags up the importance of our work in terms of creating a link between the impact figures and the human stories."
