Platform champions
The innovation platforms have champions whose major role is to provide leadership and drive in the platform. The champions were selected based on professional competence, individual interest and passion for the sector and being well conversant with the sector and the innovation challenge that the platform is pursuing. The champions were selected based on professional competence, individual interest and passion for the sector and being well conversant with the sector and the innovation challenge that the platform is pursuing. Among others, the role of the platform champions includes:
- sustaining the drive for innovation in the platform
- managing human and financial resources in the platform to achieve specific task objectives in a performance driven-way
- bringing and keeping the required actors around a critical innovation challenge
- managing the task teams addressing specific challenges in the platforms
- providing linkage between the platform and RIU Malawi
