RIU - Research Into Use

Partners

Not all members listed in the project proposal contributed as expected. Some of the partners listed in the initial proposal were no longer available to participate in the project others showed no serious commitment to the programme.

Partners joined or exited depending on the value they feel the programme can add to the sector. At some times during implementation, there was a need to seek new partners depending on emerging issues and the relevance of the new partners to such issues.

Members had a clear understanding of what the platform represented and their roles/responsibilities, knowledge sharing and synergy amongst members of the platform (actors in the value chain) leverage greater impact. So were well placed to judge when they would benefit from active participation in activities.

RIU Nigeria cannot succeed without developing a series of strong working relationship and partnership working.
