RIU - Research Into Use

Research questions

RIU Sierra Leone is testing an overarching hypothesis that 'institutional/ capacity development of PAID leads to increased use of knowledge hence enhanced innovation system performance in Sierra Leone'.

The Sierra Leone programme is designed to provide answers to the following research questions:
  • How can we increase the impacts of research?
  • Is PAID an effective mechanism for getting research into use?
  • What intervention points lead to innovation in fast-track platforms?

In line with all the other RIU programme, Sierra Leone has embraced the RIU research design that focuses on six innovation narratives:

Ian Maudlin, RIU Director, introduces Research Into Use, explains its aims and outlines the impacts the programme hopes to achieve. November 2009 (3:55)   RIUtv
